Kansas Man Sought by Police After Jewelry Store Theft

Today, police in Wichita, Kansas are looking for a man who shoplifted over $7,000 worth of merchandise from a local jewelry store.   Police issued a photograph of the suspect that was grabbed from a video camera surveillance still and are asking people to contact Crime Stoppers if they have any knowledge of the suspect or the theft crime that was committed.

Law enforcement officers in Kansas report that the man stole the merchandise at 4:30 PM this past Saturday.  The store he shoplifted from is One Day Jewelry on Oliver Street. 

The suspect is described as a 20 year old male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 120 pounds.  He wore white tennis shoes, a blue t-shirt, and blue jeans.

If apprehended by Wichita law enforcement, the man will face grand theft charges, which could result in years of jail time if he is convicted.
