Houston Jury Reaches Quick Verdict in Quadruple Murder

MyFoxHouston.com is reporting that the jury presiding over a Texas quadruple murder case has finally reached a verdict of "guilty".  The defendant in the case was a 22 year old woman who was accused of taking part in the murder of three high school classmates and another victim.

Jurors were quick to reach their decision, finding the 22 year old Christine Paolila guilty of murder.  In the state of Texas, a murder conviction automatically results in a sentence of life imprisonment.  Paolila was convicted for murdering Tiffany Nichole Rowell (18), Marcu Ray Precella (19), Rachel Ann Koloroutis (18) and Adelbert Nicholas Sanchez (21).

In July of 2003, the bodies of the four young victims were found inside of Rowell's home on the block of Millbridge.  After closely investigating the multiple homicides, law enforcement revealed that the victims had been shot several times and that two of the victims also suffered blunt head trauma prior to dying.

In Texas, convicted murder offenders are eligible for the death penalty.  However, Paolila was a minor at the time the crimes were committed, which makes her ineligible for capital punishment.
