Former Nebraska Running Back Charged With Murder

Recently on UPI.com - Former Nebraska running back, Thunder Collins, is being charged with first degree murder.  According to police reports, Mr. Collins is being charged with a murder that was tied to a drug deal.

Collins is being accused of shooting 38 year old Timothy Thomas of Los Angeles.  Police claim that the shooting occurred while Collins and Thomas struggled over a gun in an Omaha garage.  Mr. Collins is also being charged with the attempted murder of 26 year old Marshall Turner, Timothy Thomas' companion.

Police are reporting that both Turner and Thomas made the drive to Omaha specifically for a drug deal.  The deal was to be made with Collins and another man, who fled the scene when the shooting occurred.

Collins is currently in police custody, but is denying all charges against him.  If convicted, Collins may be sentenced with life imprisonment.
