Man Posing as 12-Year-Old Boy Charged with Child Pornography & Fraud

A 30-year-old man has plead guilty to seven counts of criminal charges. The defendant and known sex offender, Neil Havens Rodreick II, plead guilty to four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, two counts of failure to register to as a sex offender, one count of fraud, and one count of simple assault. Rodreick posed as a 12-year-old boy to enroll in schools in Surprise, Payson, and Prescott, Arizona in 2005.

The felony fraud and misdemeanor assault charges were the only two charges that stemmed from Rodreick's charade as a 12-year-old boy.  According authorities, Rodreick shaved and wore pancake makeup to convince teachers, students, and administrators that he was a young boy name Casey. Rodreick was charged with misdemeanor assault after grabbing a girl's buttocks with intent to injure, insult, or provoke at a Prescott Valley charter school.

Rodreick was eventually caught in January 2007 when school officials at a Chino Valley school became suspicious of his paperwork.

Authorities involved in the case didn't find any victims of sexual abuse, however over 600 graphic images and videos of child pornography were found at Rodreick's home, including a sex tape depicting Rodreick and a 12 or 13-year-old boy in a motel room.

Sentencing for the case has not been scheduled.

In 1996 Rodreick was convicted of lewdly propositioning a 6-year-old boy in Oklahoma, for which he served about six years in prison.
