4 Charged In Slain Michigan Doctor's Death

Four people have been charged in connection with the murder of a retired Michigan doctor who died after stumbling into a Detroit restaurant with multiple bleeding wounds.

Two men and two women are being charged in the death of Dr. Gary Ceresnie, a podiatrist from Brighton, Michigan who retired last year.  All four suspects are facing one count of open murder and one count armed robbery.

Police believe the two women set up Ceresnie to be robbed and beaten up by the two men, Darrel Harris and Kamico Jackson.

Police said Ceresnie picked up the two women, Teanna Keens and Stephanie Cross, in an area known for prostitution. The woman then led him to a nearby home where Jackson and Harris were allegedly waiting.

The suspects are believed to have beaten Ceresnie up with a wooden cane and a handgun. They also stole his cash.

Ceresnie died shortly after entering the restaurant. He leaves behind a wife and a 17-year-old daughter.

If convicted of the crime, all four suspects could be sentenced to life in prison.
