Man Faces Multiple Drug Charges in Meth Lab Bust

An Arkansas man is facing drug charges after police discovered a meth lab in the basement of the funeral home he worked in.

Robert Lee Lewis is accused of beginning the process of cooking meth in the basement of Higginbotham Funeral Home.  After sheriff officers noticed a light on in the basement of the funeral home, Walnut Ridge police officer James Price entered through an open door to find all the necessary components and materials needed for building a meth lab.  A short time later Lewis showed up to the building and was arrested.

According Walnut Ridge Detective David Burnside, the lab was only a few hours away from being operational.

Lewis, who is scheduled to appear in court on January 21 and is currently out on a $2,500 bond, is facing multiple drug charges, including possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to manufacture, possession of paraphernalia with intent to use, manufacturing of methamphetamine, and possession of pseudoephedrine with intent to manufacture.
