Father Accused of Propositioning Daughter for Sex

A man in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania has been arrested on felony charges after propositioning his own daughter for sex.

The 39-year-old man, whose name has not been identified because he shares the same last name as the victim, is accused of finding his 13-year-old daughter on Facebook and sexually propositioning her.

The man asked his daughter, who he hasn't seen in 10 years, if she would like to meet for sex, described sexual acts in graphic detail, and told her "not many other fathers and daughters are this brave, so not many of them are so lucky to experience all these pleasures."

When the daughter told her mother what was happening, her mother contacted the police.

The man was arrested by the Ephrata police and agents from the Attorney General's Predator Unit when he arrived at a prearranged location.

Prosecutors have charged the man with one count of unlawful contact with a minor and one count of criminal attempted incest, both of which are felony offenses.  If convicted, he could face up to 30 years in prison for both crimes and a $25,000 fine.
