Pennsylvania Couple Use 3 Year Old to Hide Their Theft

In Uniontown, Pennsylvania, it is being reported that a southwestern couple from the state used their 3 year old daughter while carrying out their theft crime.  Police say that the couple used the young child as a shield while they pushed a shopping cart out of a Wal-Mart.  In their cart, the couple had tried to hide an $848 computer.

The couple, 27 year old Derek Vivio and 24 year old Jessica Henderson, are both residents of Belle Vernon.  They had their child lie on top of the computer while they pushed their cart out of a Wal-Mart located in South Union Township.

Pennsylvania police say that the shoplifting offense occurred on September 29th.  After taking a close look at the store's surveillance tapes and questioning the couple, law enforcement pressed theft crime charges.  They say that during their interview with the couple, both the man and woman confessed to stealing the computer.

When police asked Vivio what he did with the stolen merchandise, he told them that he had disposed of the computer, but would not say how or where.
