Over the Limit Campaign Yields 23 Arrests

This week Friday, in Osceola County, the sheriff's office said that it made 23 arrests during the evening due to a safety and sobriety operation.

Throughout the operation, it is said that deputies stopped 1,522 vehicles from 10:00 PM until 4:00 AM. The stops were made as part of the statewide "Over the Limit, Under Arrest" campaign.

Officers say that they issued 356 violations and 273 citations. Most of the 23 arrests were for outstanding warrants, drug crimes and traffic related offenses. Police say that nine of the arrests were for driving under the influence (DUI).
