Brawl Breaks Out at Rose Bowl

The Rose Bowl turned ugly on Saturday night when a brawl broke out before the USC-UCLA game. It is estimated that 50 to 75 people were involved, however, only two were stabbed and three arrested when the dust settled. What began at 4:30 PM was ended about fifteen minutes later by the Pasadena Police Department.

People had been tailgating for the game as early as 6:30 AM outside the Rose Bowl. What began the fight? When a football that was being thrown around hit a Mercedes Benz by accident. Vimal Patel, 24, was stabbed eight times in the back and was rushed to the intensive care unit of a Pasadena Hospital. 

Another young man, Mathew Dirling, 27, was stabbed in the cheek, according to his twin Joshua. 

The hospital is not offering any additional information about the condition of the stabbing victims at this time.
