15 Year Old Pleads No Contest to His Brother's Murder

Coral Springs, Florida - This week, a 15 year old boy pled "no contest" to manslaughter charges after reaching a deal with prosecutors.  The boy was accused of stabbing his younger brother to death.  Police say the defendant, William Gorzynski, attacked his brother during a fight over loud music.

Under his deal with Florida prosecutors, Gorzynski will be committed for up to 12 months in a state juvenile detention facility.  He will then have supervised release until his 19th birthday.

This past Monday, prosecutors charged the 15 year old as an adult, but the new deal allowed him to be sentenced as a juvenile.  If Gorzynski commits a new crime while at the juvenile detention center or under supervision, he will face the full sentence for his adult manslaughter charge, which is a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

According to police, Gorzynski stabbed his 14 year old brother on October 26th while the two were left home alone in Coral Springs, FL.
