$150,000 Vehicle Stolen from Local Garage

This week in Los Angeles, police say that a valuable classic car was stolen.  The show car was being held at a garage and now the Los Angeles Police Department is trying to find the person that took it.

Unlike other show cars, this vehicle is worth quite a large sum of money.  It is a customized, cherry-red 1957 Chevy BelAir convertible two door that is allegedly worth $150,000.  Police say that the drive-train is chrome from the radiator to the tailpipe and that the vehicle's wheels are custom chrome.

According to authorities, the theft took place on Wednesday, July 7th, during the early morning hours.  The car was being held at a transmission shop located on the 7500 block of Reseda Blvd.  Officers say that the person or people who took the car pried open the garage door and drove away.
