Police Officer Gets Charged with Grand Theft Twice

On June 28th, an officer from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department was in for a surprise when he went to court for charges of child endangerment and grand theft. After a hearing in Ventura County Superior Court, Sergeant Steven Flamm was arrested again. Initially, he was in court for charges of shoplifting two jackets from Nordstrom with his 10 year old daughter on May 1st.

In the Nordstrom case, police found probable cause to arrest Flamm after revealing the store's surveillance tapes. On June 3rd, Flamm was featured on surveillance tapes from a Sears store, which led to his second arrest.

After conducting a three week long investigation, officers arrested Flamm for shoplifting video games valued at $900. A Sears' employee allegedly witnessed the theft on the surveillance footage.

Flamm was booked in the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility following his arrest and his previous bail was increased from $10,000 to $50,000.
