Former Viking Faces Domestic Violence Charges

In North Oaks, it has been reported that former Minnesota Viking Esera Tuaolo has been charged with domestic assault.  Police say that Tuaolo is now dealing with charges of domestic violence, assault and disorderly conduct.

In 2002, Tuaolo came out to the public and said that he was gay and raising two children with his partner.  Police have yet to comment on who the victim was.

Last Sunday, at 5:45 PM, police were dispatched in response to a domestic assault complaint.  After officers arrived at the scene, Tuaolo was cited for the three aforementioned charges.  The victim was granted a no-contact order against Tuaolo and the former player was arrested and released after paying $2,000 bail.

Tuaolo's preliminary hearing is expected to take place in August.

When people have been charged with violent crimes, like domestic abuse or assault, they should protect themselves by hiring a criminal defense lawyer.
