Ruben Cesar Salgado, a California Highway Patrol Officer, has pleaded not guilty to eight charges related to possession of drugs and weapons. Salgado was originally arrested by investigators from the CHP and the Placer County District Attorney's Office after a two-month probe. His bail remains at $200,000 and the money must be ensured that it is not from a drug source.
