Man Charged with DUI and Reckless Driving

In Georgia, it is reported that a teenager suffered critical injuries in Lowndes County after he was rising as a passenger in the vehicle of a man who was driving under the influence (DUI). 

According to news sources, the drunk driver was 27 year old John Swann.  Last Tuesday night at 6:30 PM, Swann was driving his Nissan pickup truck while under the influence on Boring Pond Road.  Swann's reckless driving behavior led to him hitting a ditch and flipping over.

The teenager, 18 year old Korey Booth, was partially ejected from the truck and had to be rushed to Shands Hospital.  At this time, Booth remains in critical condition.  Neither Booth nor Swann were wearing seatbelts when the accident occurred.

Since the accident, Swann has been charged with both reckless driving and DUI.
