Police K-9 Finds Can with 2,000 OxyContin Pills

Portland, Oregon - in Portland Union Station, a police dog that was searching luggage with officers allegedly spotted a soft drink can that smelled of drugs. When police looked in the can, they found 2,000 OxyContin pills that Veka Chham of California was trying to conceal.

After discovering the illegal drugs, police arrested Chham.  He was later charged with drug crimes such as drug manufacturing, drug possession and drug delivery.  Portland prosecutors told news sources that Chham is a "large-scale drug trafficker with a sophisticated operation."

Chham supposedly made three trips from California to Tacoma to sell narcotics.  He would sell each OxyContin for $15, making $30,000 each trip.  Chham's bail has been set at $500,000.
