Man Faces 6th DUI Arrest

According to his attorney, if several key events didn't happen then Mark Dahir would only have gotten probation for his sixth DUI arrest.

However, Dahir was not just arrested but was also involved in a bad head-up crash just a day before he was supposed to be sentenced for his arrest. This did not please Douglas County District Judge Patrick Mullen who sentenced Dahir to 180 days in jail and revoked his license for 15 years. This was to address a DUI that happened on Aug. 16.

The accident that happened just one day before his sentencing in February led to Dahir and the other driver being seriously injured. Police reports state that Dahir was likely driving under the influence of methamphetamine.

Now Dahir is waiting for his trial for the felony DUI in that case.

Arrested for a DUI? Not the first time? If so, now is the right time to get a criminal defense lawyer involved who can protect your best interests.
