Athlete Facing Violent Crime Charges

Now that the football season has come to an end, there have been several professional players that have gotten into trouble with the law. The latest player to find himself in police custody is Caleb King, who was recently signed as a rookie free agent with the Minnesota Vikings. According to the police report, the running back got into a fight with another man outside of a birthday party. The two got into a physical altercation which reportedly was started by King. When police arrived on the scene, they took King into custody on suspicion of third-degree assault. At this time, King has not been charged with the assault, but the incident is still under investigation by local police.

The victim, a 22-year-old male, was brought to the hospital in serious condition. Witnesses told police that King punched him several times in the head and threw him down on the ground.
