Deceased Suspect’s Wife and Mother Plead Guilty to Murder

Two women that were arrested in connection to the kidnapping and murder of a woman and her daughter recently pled guilty and were sentenced. The wife of A.M. and his mother were facing serious charges for the double murder of a family friend and her 14-year-old daughter. The women reportedly agreed to the plea agreement to avoid a trial and the possibility of life in prison. Court records state that A.M. killed J.B. by striking her with a 2x4 and then strangling her. He proceeded to kill the woman's eldest daughter through suffocation and then kidnapped her two younger daughters. A.M. fled and hid in the woods while his wife and mother cared for the little girls. J.B. and her family were about to move to Arizona which allegedly prompted A.M.'s timing in committing the murder because he and his wife wanted to keep the two youngest daughters to create their own family. Fish and Wildlife officers came across A.M. and the little girls in the woods at which point the man shot and killed himself. T.M. and A.M.'s mother, M.M., were taken into custody under suspicion of being involved in the incident. T.M. admitted to helping her husband by hiding the bodies and later burying them in the victims' backyard as part of the plea agreement. T.M. and M.M. further admitted to taking the two little girls out to A.M. where he was hiding. Make sure you have the representation of a tough criminal defense attorney if you have been charged with murder or other violent crime.

Women Sentenced to Serve many Years behind Bars

T.M. had been charged two counts of felony kidnapping and two counts of second degree murder and M.M. faced two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping. Both women were subjected to the possibility of life in prison if convicted of the charges but under the plea agreement, they were sentenced to lesser imprisonment terms. The mother, M.M., will be serving 13 years while T.M. has been sentenced to 35 years behind bars.
