OC Sting Operation Results in Arrest of Suspected Pimp

H.M., 29, was arrested by Orange County authorities after an undercover operation was conducted on a suspected prostitution ring. According to prosecutors, H.M. posted advertisements for three women on a prostitution website. Authorities contacted H.M. through the website and posed as a potential client. An undercover officer arranged to meet all three women in a Santa Ana motel. H.M. set up the meeting in early March. The three of the women, aged 20 through 40, were offered to the "John" to provide sex for money. One of the women was reportedly forced by her pimp to go to the meeting against her will.

Officers waited nearby while the three women met with the undercover officer. Authorities collected evidence against the alleged pimp and prepared to take him into custody. H.M. arrived at the motel later on to collect money from the women and was subsequently arrested. He has been charged with seven felony counts for human trafficking, pandering by procuring and pimping. If he is convicted of the charges against him he could receive a sentence of up to 28 years in prison as well as fines and other penalties. Charged with a sex crime?
