21-Year-Old Faces 2nd DWI Charge and Bribery

By The Martinez Law Firm  Jun. 26, 2012 9:24a

A 21-year-old South Houston woman was arrested recently on charges of DWI and bribery. The woman, A.G. was pulled over after police received calls concerning a reckless driver. A.G. had allegedly gone through several intersections without stopping in accordance with the posted stop signs. A police officer pulled her over on a local street around 3:00 in the afternoon after he saw her make a lane change without signaling and on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The officer reported that A.G. had offered him $200 if he wouldn't arrest her. Bribery charges were then added to DWI when he took her in custody. A judge dismissed the bribery charges after finding that there was not probable cause for the charge. A drug recognition expert stated that the woman had been driving while intoxicated by alcohol and she has been charged with a Class A misdemeanor for a second DWI. If you are facing a DWI charge and have a previous conviction on your record then speak with a DWI defense attorney right away.
