A local man is on trial for sexual assault charges allegedly involving two female minors. The man, 52-year-old R.C. has been charged with more than 12 sex crimes including corruption of a minor, aggravated indecent assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of children. The two girls, aged 11 and 16, allege that R.C. assaulted each of them at different locations. Both girls say he made them look at pornography and then sexually assaulted them several years ago. Sexual assault cases in Pennsylvania are treated very seriously by the criminal justice system. Make sure you have skilled defense on your side by getting the representation of a Scranton sex crime attorney!

Defendant Could Face Serious Punishment for Alleged Sex Crime

R.C. has denied all the sex offenses he has been charged with and suggested that the girls made up the allegations because they were angry with his wife. In response to a Deputy District Attorney on the case questioning how the girls could have come up with the details of such a serious sex-related crime the man stated that they could have used information from the internet. If found guilty of the multitude of charges he is faced with, R.C. could receive many years imprisonment, thousands in fines and restitution, mandatory mental health counseling, hundreds of hours of community service, permanent registration as a sex offender and other penalties.
