Employee Arrested in Mervyn's Embezzlement Case

News sources are reporting that a Mervyn's employee was arrested this past Sunday in connection with an
embezzlement case. The case was ongoing and involved a lengthy investigation by local authorities.
It is reported that police were dispatched to a Mervyn's store where an employee named Everado Baez was being detained by loss prevention agents. Baez was detained in relation to a
theft that had occurred at the popular retail chain.
A loss prevention internal investigation revealed that Baez had embezzled $2,000 worth of merchandise from Mervyn's. He allegedly embezzled merchandise over the course of several months.
Shortly after being detained, Baez was arrested and booked at the local Sheriff's department. Police are looking to charge him with felony embezzlement.
