Man Charged With Assault & Shoplifting in Atlanta

Recently posted on AJC.com  - Powder Springs law enforcement placed Christopher Simon under arrest for shoplifting and assault after he robbed two local gas stations and tried to run two store clerks over with his car yesterday.

Law enforcement arrested Simon after he attempted to rob another gas station.  Mr. Simon struggled with police prior to his arrest.  Aside from assault and shoplifting, he was also charged with DUI (driving under the influence), reckless driving and obstruction of justice.

According to KLC.com, "The first incident happened at 10:30 a.m. at the Shell Gas Station at 4551 Brownsville Road. Simon did the same thing at the BP Gas Station a few moments later at 3930 Powder Springs Road. The clerk there ended up with two broken legs and internal injuries. He is hospitalized at WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell."

After a short chase, law enforcement finally caught up with Simon and after a brief struggle, they were able to place him under arrest.

If convicted of his crimes, Christopher Simon would face jail time, fines and possibly probation.
