Candy Wrappers Lead Police to Burglary Suspects

In Florida, police are reporting that they were able to solve a burglary case by following a trail of candy wrappers the criminal offenders left behind.   According to police, they were able to track down and arrest 5 juveniles for burglary-related charges today.  Police discovered a couple of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup wrappers near the crime scene and soon saw that the juveniles had left a trail of wrappers, which they tracked down.

Police in Palm Bay had been investigating a neighborhood burglary earlier this week.  On site, an officer took notice of the trail of wrappers in the backyard of the home the burglars stole from.  The officer said that he found the final Reese's wrapper discarded on the front door step of a home that was directly across the street.

Police went inside the home, where they found several young juveniles.  When questioned about the burglary, the 5 juveniles admitted that they had took both computers and firearms from their neighbor's home.

At this time, the juveniles have been charged with burglary and are facing sentencing in Florida juvenile court.
