New York Sex Offender Arrested after being found in Car with Young Boy

In Garden City, New York, police report that they recently apprehended and arrested a 36 year old registered sex offender named Robert Musmacker when he  was found in his car with a 16 year old boy at the time police pulled him over for routine traffic stop this past Sunday.

While arresting Musmaker, police found an AIDS medication in his motor vehicle.  When asked about the medication, Musmaker informed police that he was diagnosed with AIDS and that had started treatment for the disease.

Musmaker is a newspaper delivery man in Oceanside and he is currently being held on a $1 million bond.  He pled "not guilty" to charges of third-degree criminal sexual act, reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child and several other charges.   He was charged last Thursday while in Suffolk County Court.

Prosecutors presiding over the case believe that the 16 year old boy is one of several victims Musmaker has illegal sexual contact with.  They are hoping that more individuals will come forward so that they can use their testimony before a grand jury when the case goes to trial.

In 1992, Musmaker was convicted for sexually abusing his 6 year old female relative.  He received a sentence of 3 to 6 years for committing the sex crime, but was paroled in 2001.
