John Kerry's Daughter Arrested for Suspicion of DUI

On November 19th, it was reported that John Kerry's daughter was placed under arrest for driving under the influence (DUI).  His daughter, 36 year old Alexandra Kerry, was arrested after police pulled her over in Hollywood, California.

Once stopped by police, Kerry refused to submit to a breath test, which led to police booking her at a Hollywood station.  At the station, they had Kerry take a breath test which showed that her blood alcohol concentration was 0.06%.  In California, the legal limit is 0.08%, which means Kerry was slightly below.  Police say that in place of DUI charges, she may be charged with reckless driving instead.

Shortly after being escorted to the police station, Kerry was released on $5,000 bail.  A representative from John Kerry's office said that Alexandra was initially stopped by police because she had expired registration and reiterated that her blood alcohol concentration was below the state's legal limit.  At this time, John Kerry is refusing to issue a statement as he feels it is a private matter.

In 2008, Alexandra Kerry produced a documentary entitled Be Like Others.  She is an actress, director, writer and also producer.
