24 Year Old Charged with Vehicular Manslaughter after Friend's Death

Over the holiday weekend, it is reported that a Florida man was charged with vehicular manslaughter. The man allegedly crashed into a Cairo resident, causing his instantaneous death.

The DUI accident took place on Highway 111 South in Grady County. According to police, the driver lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a tree. The driver's passenger, 24 year old Miguel Encina-Cornado, was killed upon impact.

Following the accident, police arrested and charged 24 year old Rafeal Zuniga with vehicular manslaughter, failure to maintain a lane, driving on a suspended license and driving under the influence.

At this time, the accident investigation is reported as ongoing by the Georgia State Patrol's Special Collision Reconstruction Team.
