Two Charged with Drug Crimes in California

On Tuesday, two people were arrested for suspicion of drug crimes in the state of California.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers conducted a traffic stop at 8:30 PM for a seatbelt violation.  Police stopped a 2002 GMC Yukon on Foster Road at Imola Avenue. 

Upon stopping the vehicle, police found that the passenger was on patrol and proceeded to search the car.  The found two bags of methamphetamines as well as drug paraphernalia.   The driver, 27 year old Elizabeth Guzman Ayala, was arrested for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, transporting drugs for sale and also possession of drugs for sale.

Her passenger, 22 year old Irving Adrian Barbosa, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drugs for sale.  Both were booked and held at the Napa County Department of Corrections.
