19 Year Old Carjacking Suspect Arrested in Detroit

New sources are reporting that a 19 year old carjacking suspect was arrested by law enforcement in Detroit, Michigan.  According to the authorities, the man was studying auto repair while attending a community college located in Detroit.  They also report that the suspect used his knowledge of motor vehicles to dismantle the cars he stole.

The Detroit Free Press reports that the man, Osbie Jackson, was placed under arrest this past Tuesday while he was on the Wayne County Community College District campus.  They state that Jackson was in a class where students were learning how to remove vehicle ignitions.

Warren Evans, the Wayne County Sheriff, went on record to say that Jackson had sold the parts of the vehicles he had stolen.  He was placed in jail this past Wednesday after being charged with armed robbery and carjacking.  Police say that Jackson is believed to be connected to a Detroit carjacking incident that took place on December 28th and that the investigation for that case is still ongoing.
