Maryland Man Charged with 2 Counts Indecent Exposure

In Smithsburg, Maryland, a 67 year old man named Ronald Eugene Smith was recently charged with 2 counts of indecent exposure.  Smithsburg police report that they arrested Smith after they watched him expose himself twice to a school bus and to a mother who was walking with her 8 year old daughter.   After witnessing Smith committing his offenses, police apprehended him and charged him for committing sex crimes.

According to Smithsburg Police Officer, Michael Neuland, police had performed surveillance of the area this past Wednesday because they had received complaints from a garage in Blue Mountain Estates, where Smith lives.  The people working at the garage said that a man had exposed himself from his front porch on Tuesday.

The following morning, Neuland said that while monitoring the area, he saw a man walk out of his home in a bathrobe, which he opened to expose himself.  The man was completely naked under the robe and Neuland watched as the man proceeded to expose himself for over 15 minutes.  The man then exposed himself another time when the school bus drove by.
