A former employee of the Missouri Veterans Commission is now facing federal charges in regards to allegedly embezzling more than $90,000. That money was supposed to go to veterans in nursing homes. After initially being accused, Stacy Griffin-Lowery pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and paid restitution of $17,665. However, it has now been found that the money taken was much more and now she faces further charges.
