Police took a 36-year-old man into custody after a recent incident that happened in front of a bar on Queens' sometimes notorious Bell Boulevard. A scuffle reportedly broke out between the suspect, J.S., and an unnamed 26-year-old man around 4:00 in the morning. Reports do not indicate what the fight was about but the alleged victim says that J.S. stabbed him in the neck and then fled the scene. Police and emergency services arrived and found the 23-year-old man bleeding profusely from the neck. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital and is now in stable condition after emergency surgery on his wound was performed. Police searched for the alleged attacker and located J.S. a block away from where the fight was. Arrest reports state that he was found in possession of methadone pills and what was described by arresting officers as an "edged weapon". J.S. has been charged with a number of serious offences including criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon, harassment, disorderly conduct and felony assault. Make sure you have a tough criminal defense attorney on your side if you have been accused of a crime.
