A Connellsville, Pennsylvania grandmother is going to trial under the accusation that she used her eight-year-old granddaughter in a retail theft at a Wal-Mart. Elaine Hope Weimer is facing charges of retail theft, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors. A member of the store's Asset Protection Team said that he observed the woman and child place several shirts and hats into two reusable bags the girl was carrying. The grandmother has denied these allegations.
